Off Camera Flash 102: Working with Modifiers

Talk about light, talk about excitement! In the prep for these two Saturdays, between studying, writing notes and preparing equipment, sleep did not come often or enough. I was so thrilled to do this - ideas would pop into my head. I'd carry that idea forward thinking, "How should I present this?" It all comes down to light. If we don't have it, we don't have a photo.

I would like to say a HUGE THANKS TO ALL OF YOU who helped set this up and assisted with the 2 days it ran. I know it was a lot of work getting everything ready, setting it all up, then taking it all down and back home, the baking (delicious) and coffee, use of the shop and to all who attended.  All wonderful and Thank You.
 
The workshop was amazing. Brian is so knowledgeable about all aspects of photography especially “Light”  By the end of the 2 days I had a good grasp of how to control my flash, light up my subjects, and how to use my camera settings to achieve “ambient light”.

As for Brian...He's an excellent teacher! His detailed lessons in 101 imparted the information we needed to get started. Our confidence grew as we applied our knowledge and Brian was there to lend wisdom when needed. In 102, we learned how to control the light using a variety of modifiers. I am amazed at how much I learned!!
