Snowy Night in Salmon Arm

Brian: Hearing of an upcoming cold snap, we decided to go out and do some night photography. Based on enthusiasm, willingness and availability four of us met in the downtown core. Upon arrival, I pointed out that the trees were only wet and how great it would be if it would snow. Well… within minutes, I got my wish.

Beverly: Normally I shoot with a 50-140mm zoom lens so I challenged myself by bringing a fixed 16mm. It was cold but the time flew by as it usually does when the cameras come out and the company is agreeable. Tim Horton's was still open so we ended the night with hot drinks and conversation. I enjoyed getting to know a bit more about my fellow photogs.

Frank: Totally awesome was a great time to be out and shoot even for the harsher conditions. What did I learn - I need more time behind the camera paying attention to what is happening with my settings every shot such as ISO settings changing per shot ..lots more to learn ! I look forward to many more outings and learning how to make my photos better and tell a story.
